All vehicles must be picked up and returned at least one hour before the closing time of our office.

Returns and Cancellations

Standard Cancellation Policy:

• Full refund for cancellations made at least 5 days before the reservation start date.
• 50% refund for cancellations made 3 to 4 days before the reservation start date.
• No refunds for cancellations made less than 2 days before the reservation start date.
• Rentals offered at discounted rates (e.g., group bookings, promotional offers, etc.) may only be canceled up to 5 days before the reservation start date. Refunds outside this period are at the sole discretion of Hertz Saint-Barthélemy.

Holiday Cancellation Policy (December 15 – January 6):

• Full refund for cancellations made at least 30 days before the reservation start date.
• 30% penalty for cancellations made between 15 and 30 days before the reservation start date.
• No refunds for cancellations made less than 15 days before the reservation start date.

Resevation must be prepaid or have a festive form filled to be guaranted

Terms, Conditions, and Liability

Responsibility:

• Customers accept full financial responsibility for the vehicle rented, including returning it clean, undamaged, and with the agreed fuel level by the specified date and time.
• If the vehicle is returned damaged, excessively dirty, or with less fuel than specified, Hertz Saint-Barthélemy reserves the right to charge for cleaning, repair, or refueling at the applicable rates.

Late Returns:

• Late returns are subject to additional charges equivalent to the daily rental rate for each day past the agreed return date.

Assumption of Risk:

• The renter acknowledges and accepts the risks associated with vehicle use, including those arising from local driving conditions.

Liability Release:

• Hertz Saint-Barthélemy is not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss resulting from the use of the rental vehicle.
• The customer agrees to release and hold harmless Hertz Saint-Barthélemy and its affiliates from any claims, including those arising from negligence or improper use of the vehicle.

Vehicle Condition:

• Vehicles are provided in excellent working condition. The customer agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition, subject to normal wear and tear.
• Any issues with the vehicle must be reported immediately to Hertz Saint-Barthélemy.

Use of Vehicle:

• The renter is responsible for ensuring proper use of the vehicle and complying with all traffic regulations.
• Vehicles may not be used for off-road driving, racing, or any prohibited activities as outlined in our rental agreement.

Eligibility:

• Rentals are available to drivers aged 21 or older with a valid driver’s license and credit card. Additional age restrictions or fees may apply depending on the vehicle category.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS RENTAL AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY IS A BINDING CONTRACT AND I AGREE TO IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
